These pages are best viewed with the Firefox web browser. Some photos may be inverted when using any other browser. A technical note at the bottom of this page explains why this happens.
After visiting any page, use your browser's back button to return to this menu page.
The Photo Gallery is a new feature. At this time, it remains experimental.
Technical note: There is no accepted standard for displaying digital photos on web pages; techniques and conventions differ among browsers. Sophisticated web sites dynamically adapt their programming code to the user's browser. Claymont Woods's web site, unfortunately, is running on a 2005-vintage software platform (from a small Illinois company) that sharply limits the available programming tools. Examples: all digitial photos contain a number of tags describing the image, collectively referred to as EXIF tags. Firefox ignores these tags, displaying photos based on the programmer's HTML instructions. Google's Chrome (starting with version 81), Microsoft's Internet Explorer/Edge and Apple's Safari browsers use EXIF information while ignoring some (but not all) HTML instructions; hence, some (but not all) photos that display correctly in Firefox display incorrectly in these browsers. Writing code sufficiently sophisticated to handle varying browsers is not feasible on Claymont Woods's current web host.
